Microsoft Dynamics GP – 2017 Year-End Updates

Microsoft Dynamics GP Year End Updates

It’s time to schedule your year-end update! Please send an email to GPSupport@conexussg.com in order to schedule the application of this update and for any training or support on year-end closing procedures.

We will be installing the year-end update for the following GP versions: GP 2013, GP 2015, GP 2016. Keep in mind that there is no year-end update for GP 2010. If you have GP 2010 and would like the updates applied, you will be required to upgrade to a more current version.

Below is a list of changes in this update.  We do recommend customers to install this update based on the required year end changes and quality report fixes below.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 (version 16.00.0641) (Includes GP 2016 R2)  MicrosoftDynamicsGP16-KB4046341-ENU.msp

  • U.S. Payroll
    There are many changes in this update for Affordable Care Act, click HERE for a list of detailed ACA changes.
    Also changes to the electronic file format noted HERE
    If you accrue your time in Human Resource Attendance, your available balance on the reprint pay statement or employee self-service pay stub may double and triple for one time code based on transactions entered.
  • Advanced Payroll – The Payroll Accrual Account box is getting cleared when you import your payroll posting accounts from the navigation list.
  • Fixed Assets Luxury Auto Depreciation changes
  • Distribution – You may receive an error wrong number of arguments ‘GetDates’ when printing the Historical Stock Status report.
  • Project Time and Expense (PTE) – Billing notes may not be created correctly when you utilize the PTE templates.
  • Bank Reconciliation – You may experience slow performance when printing checkbook posting and reprint journals.
  • VAT Daybook –

VAT detail report may show incorrect figures if you have 2 or more tax codes on a transaction.
VAT report Box 8 and 9 duplicated Box 6 and 7, should only include EU figures.
After you applied the January 2016 January hotfix, the VAT report was not pulling the exceptions into the report based on date range.

  • eConnect – You may experience when you setup the incoming Queue, nothing will be integrated in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 (version 14.00.1079) (Includes GP 2015 R2 and all prior patches) MicrosoftDynamicsGP14-KB4046338-ENU.msp

  • U.S. Payroll

The U.S. Year-End Update will be INCLUDED when GP 2018 ships on December 1, 2017 (let us know if you are interested in upgrading to the latest version of GP following the release).
